James asks, "One of the movies shows Wyatt Earp giving Doc Holiday a novel he wrote: MY FRIEND DOC HOLLIDAY. Is this pure fiction, or did Earp actually pen some novellas?"

The movie in question is Tombstone and the scene has Wyatt giving the book to Doc Holliday while Doc is on his hospital deathbed.  There are liberties taken here.  In truth, Doc did not die in a hospital, Wyatt never visited his ailing chum and Wyatt did not write any books, MY FRIEND DOC HOLLIDAY or otherwise.

The book MY FRIEND DOC HOLLIDAY does exist and is available on the Internet, but it was written by a fan of the movie.
