Wyatt Earp
Is there any film footage of Wyatt Earp?
Roger asks if there any film footage of Wyatt Earp. Unfortunately, there is none that historians have been able to find.
It does seem rather odd that Wyatt wasn't captured on moving images. He was, after all, a close friend of cowboy stars William Hart and Tom Mix and, supposedly, was a consultant on their and other Western movies. A motion camera recorded the famed 1896 Sharkey-Fitzsimmons fight that Wyatt refereed but, alas, there is no discernable image of Wyatt in the few seconds of film that remain.
If anyone knows of surviving Wyatt Earp film footage, please let us know!
